Planted in 1987 to Pinot Noir, Sunnyside is located on the outskirts of the Tumbarumba township. The vineyard had not been tended to for over two decades and had to be regrown from the ground up. This small, quarter-hectare block has been farmed by me with a focus on soil and vine health. No herbicides or synthetic fertilisers, and no large machinery that cause compaction. Equally important, there are roots in the ground, compost spread, cover crops sown, mulch dispersed and vermicast delivered into the soil.
